“How-To” Project:  Lowering a M2 Machines ’68 Mustang

Using a 1/16″ Dremel cutter(Pictured with a piece if 1/16″ aluminum tubing), I carefully elongated the front axle holes upward.

And now with the tube and wheels installed.

The rear axle was a bit more difficult.  When you unscrew the rear plate from the inside, you’ll notice there is a small ridge on the baseplate that holds the axle down into the groove.  With a cutoff wheel, cut directly into the ridge and down into the base.

A small horizontal web is barely gone, as shown.

Place the wheels/axle into the ridge.

Screw the rear plate back on, and assemble the body and base back together.
